Courses We Offer

EndPoint Loss Control, a Division of IG, Inc. has on staff an instructor licensed by the National Safety Council to teach NSC's Defensive Driving Courses. The three courses we offer instruction on are: Professional Truck Driver, Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving, and Chronic Offender. These courses can be taught on-line or live in a classroom setting.

Professional Truck Driver

Professional Truck Driver focuses on the most common causes of truck-related incidents and provides truck drivers with defensive driving strategies to avoid collisions and traffic violations.

This course can be taught in three or four hours and provides truck drivers with defensive driving strategies and techniques that will help them avoid collisions and traffic violations.

Course objectives include being able to:

  • Define personal and professional excellence as it relates to professional truck driving and the importance of driving with consideration for others
  • Identify the three factors that contribute to collisions
  • Recognize personal responsibilities to protect the motoring public and themselves
  • Recognize personal driving tendencies, attitudes and habits
  • Identify driving hazards and learn safe and legal alternate choices for dealing with different hazards

Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving

Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving, a behavior-based course, is recommended for drivers with multiple violations and those with poor driving habits.

This eight-hour course demonstrates the direct connection between attitude and choice and the potential results of poor driving conduct.

Course objectives include being able to:

  • Identify driving behaviors that led to traffic violations or collisions
  • Acknowledge problems and costs that result from current driving behaviors
  • Recognize the part that choice plays in how drivers behave behind the wheel
  • Develop a personal action plan to change current driving behaviors
  • Identify techniques for handling situations that lead to unsafe driving decisions

Chronic Offender

Chronic Offender, an advanced, behavior-based course, was developed to educate and reduce prolonged recidivism among chronic traffic violators.

This eight-hour course is recommended for drivers with poor driving behaviors or egregious traffic offenses who need a catalyst for a positive change.

Course objectives include being able to:

Recognize that every behavior is a choice and identify the driving choices that led to mandatory class attendance.
  • Pinpoint the need or needs that lead to making poor driving decisions
  • Identify consequences of current driving choices and teach the positive consequences of choosing correct driving behaviors
  • Teach good decision-making when faced with challenges of peer pressure, risk taking, alcohol and drugs
  • Determine alternative behavior choices and implement an action plan to change current driving behaviors
